In is not uncommon for a student sitting a long exam and who is unable to leave the room until the test is over, to find herself in a situation where she needs to pee. It is perhaps less common for the invigilator to also be in the same situation as the student she is supervising; after all, she can't leave the room either unless another member of staff comes to relieve her. With Alexis sitting a special paper on the weekend and Keri the only staff member available to invigilate, relief is hardly likely to occur. And so it was that two and a half hours into her paper, Alexis is squirming because she is dying to pee.
